Life has changed drastically these past few weeks. As a country and as a world we have changed the way we have been living. This is all important work and it's imperative that we continue. And IT'S REAL HARD!
We are all stressed and full of worry. Some have lost your jobs temporarily or for the unforeseen future. Some are working from home and trying to figure out what to do with the children. Many are working overtime in grocery stores or healthcare - providing a service to us all.
This stress and worry also pour over to our children. Although many kids say they don't want to go to school, we all know structure and learning is good for us. Adults need this, kids need this.
So - here is the challenge we are facing. We are all doing what we can in this unexpected times. We are leaning on others virtually, we are letting our kids spend more time on screens, and we are surviving.
We have never done this before! This is a new experience and a time in history that we will talk about for a long time. A few things to keep in mind as we take up this space and make history.
First - this will end! We will be changed and life will feel different, but it will end.
Second- there is not a right way to do this. Let's throw guilt out the door. Focus on a few things a day. If you want some suggestions watch my video under the video tab at the top.
Finally, I am here to support our Wilson Community! I will be doing some family group chats weekly. You can also sign up for a time to talk with me individually on the phone or via facetime or skype. This can be for you or for you student. The link will be below to sign up.
I will send out an email soon regarding my weekly family support meetings. I'd love to see you on there. We will be supporting one another through this difficult time.
I miss seeing you all and I can't wait to see how we can creatively connect.
